School Age Programs

We offer programs for all ages to promote reading and have fun at the library! Join us for our fun programs where we get messy, have fun and create cool things! We offer a number of different programs at various times throughout the year. Check out our calendar of events to see the current dates of new programs!

Explorers Club

Explorers club is monthly program for children in grades 1-4. Come join us for wild adventures and crazy fun in the library! You never know where we will end up!

Circle of Readers

Sign up for this literacy based program for children who would like some help with their reading skills. Children from Grades 1-5 will meet in the library with a Lakehead University Education student once a week for a 45 minute session. This program is only available at certain times of the year so contact us for more details.

Mother Daughter Book club

Join the library for fun and reading with your mom! Books, snacks and more all with your library card! This program is recommended for girls in grade 6-8 with an adult female. Contact Kelly for more details.

Tween Scene

Tween scene is a monthly program that is designed for older school aged children in grades 4-6. Come and hang out with us as we make cool stuff and try new things.
