Who We Are

The Friends of the Orillia Public Library is a not-for-profit Corporation and a registered Canadian charity. Membership is open to all who are interested in the Orillia Public Library and in advancing its purposes.

Our Objectives Are:

• Present or co-sponsor programs, workshops, etc.which boost the Library's role providing education, information and recreation for our community
• Provide funds to help the Library acquire necessary equipment and materials
• Provide funds to help the Library keep the automated collection management system for computerizing many of its records and procedures -- as well as to help it link with other information sources both inside and outside of our community using the internet and other connections, and to foster awareness of the Library's services and needs.
