The Orilliana Room is a research facility for genealogy and local history located at the Orillia Public Library.

It contains a wealth of secondary source materials on the city of Orillia and the local townships including Oro Medonte, Rama and Ramara.

There are original materials on the city of Orillia, such as:

• books diaries & manuscripts,
• minutes
• maps
• photographs and other memorabilia
• selected municipal documents

The Orilliana Room collection does not circulate.

Genealogy

For those conducting family history research, the Orillia Public Library has a vast array of genealogy resources. Circulating books are located in upstairs  in the local history area and a large number of reference materials are located in The Orilliana Room. Collection emphasis is Orillia and local municipalities such as Rama, Ramara, Oro and Oro-Medonte and includes: census, cemetery transcriptions vital statistics indexes birth/marriage/death records passenger lists family histories.
