This is a picture of the Sons of Scotland at a picnic at Geneva Park about the turn of the Century. Some of the principles included Archie Montgomery, a noted singer of those days; Dr. Gilchrest, who was intensely proud of his Scottish background; Mary McLean, the beautiful daughter of Dr. McLean who afterwards became Mrs. H. R. Tudhope; Piper Lunan, who came from Kirkfield and was a very well-known piper of those days. In 1965 his descendants still practice the art.
Leslie Frost is shown in the background in the extreme left of the picture. W. S. F., his father, wore the plaiddie. This photograph was confined to those who wore the kilts as well.
