Wartime pictures
|
| These pictures are principally based upon the 157th Simcoe Battalion although a few are of the 177th Battalion. The original snapshot as well as enlargement is shown. The original snapshots were very fragile and their enlargement is due to the kindness of Mr. Cameron MeNabb, Deputy Minister of Highways and his staff, particularly Mr. Victor Godwin, who with great skill was able to preserve these fragile pictures and enlarge and re-produce the same. Subsequently other pictures from other sources, including Queen's York Rangers' Archives, Ontario Archives, Federal Archives, as well as some others from private sources, have become available and have been added to the collection. |
