TEEN VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Teen Leadership Committee
The Orillia Public Library is currently accepting applications for the Teen Leadership Committee (TLC). Applications for the 2026 Fall program are due by Friday, August 7, 2026 at 5 p.m.
What is the Teen Leadership Committee?
The TLC is an application based program with a limited number of positions. Committee members in Grades 9-12 meet monthly to:
- Learn Job-Related Skills
- Engage in Providing Feedback and Ideas
- Assist with Library Programs and Services
- Develop Community Connections
Who can apply?
Teens entering Grades 9-12 who wish to make a positive contribution to the Orillia Public Library are encouraged to apply. Teens can begin volunteering once they have graduated from Grade 8 and must be a current Orillia Public Library member. Don't have a membership? Find out how to get one. (Please note: We are only accepting teen volunteers within our service area.)
(A minimum of 10 community involvement hours can be earned through this program. Additional volunteer opportunities will be offered throughout the year at monthly meetings.)
