Ways to Give
Your donations make a difference for everyone coming through the doors of the library! Donations help support the purchase of Library materials and enhance our programs and services. The Orillia Public Library is a registered charity and can provide you with a tax receipt for donations over $20. If you have some hard-to-buy for people on your holiday shopping list or need a gift for the person who has everything, consider making a donation in their name to the Orillia Public Library! We will issue you a certificate to wrap and stick under the tree.

In Memory Gift
Remember a loved one by making a donation in their name. If you wish, we can mail a special card to family members to let them know of your gift. Please note that the amount of the gift will be kept confidential.
In Honour Gift
Give a donation in someone’s name to celebrate life’s happy occasions. Anniversaries, birthdays, holidays – whatever the occasion, give a donation as a gift. If you wish, we can mail a special card to the honoree to let them know of your gift. Please note that the amount of the gift will be kept confidential.
A Gift In Your Will
A gift to the Orillia Public Library in your will can make a difference, no matter how large or small the amount. If you already have a will, you can add an addendum, called a codicil. Donate Securities
Donating your securities or mutual funds to Orillia Public Library is simple and easy. Our trusted partner, Canada Helps, will process the donation of your security on our behalf. A donation of securities will eliminate capital gains tax that you would have to pay if you sold the securities and then donated the proceeds. You will also receive a charitable tax receipt for the full fair market value of the donation.
