TEEN VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Currently our Winter/Spring Volunteer Program is Full. If you would like to express interest in earning your community service hours at the Orillia Public Library, please add yourself to our Teen Volunteer Waitlist!
What is the Teen Leadership Committee (TLC)?
The TLC is a group of high school students that meet in-person monthly at the Library to assist with provide feedback and assist with library programs and services, develop community connections and learn job-related skills.
Who Can Apply?
Teens who are currently in Grades 9-12 and are looking to positively contribute to the goals and services of the Orillia Public Library.
Minimum Time Commitment
A minimum of 5 months. Applicants must be able to attend a 2-hour orientation and all 5 MONTHLY meetings on the second Wednesday of each month from *3:30-5 p.m.
*Minimum Community Service Hours that can be earned during this program will be 10 hours. Additional volunteer opportunities will be presented for sign-up at monthly meetings.
Teens can begin volunteering once they have graduated from Grade 8 and must be a current Orillia Public Library member. Don't have a membership? Find out how to get one.
