Read with Pride - Teen Loot Bags

Celebrate Pride Month by picking up one of our Read with Pride Teen Loot Bags!  Each loot bag will come with a colourful array of 2SLGBTQIA+ themed YA books, rainbow treats, colourful crafts, and a link to a contest to win $25 in gift cards!  For teens ages 13-18.

Celebrate Your Love for Heartstopper - Teen Trivia Quiz

With the final Heartstopper graphic novel and the series' film conclusion arriving this summer, there's never been a better time to celebrate your favourite characters! Test your Heartstopper knowledge by taking our Heartstopper Trivia Quiz for a chance win a $25 gift card.  One winner will be selected at random.

Open to teens ages 13–18. One entry per person. The quiz closes at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, June 25.


Teen Exam Cram

Let the Orillia Public Library help you ace your exams with study space, snacks, supplies, and self-guided study break fun (including prizes!). All high school students are welcome!

Tables will be reserved near the Young Adult section and in the Fireplace Area on the 2nd Floor on the following dates and times:
  • Monday, June 15 - Thursday, June 18 (2-8 p.m.)

  • Monday, June 22 - Tuesday, June 23 (2-8 p.m.)

Teen Summer Bucket List (July 2-August 21)

Make this your best summer yet with our Teen Summer Bucket List! Complete challenges, attend teen programs, and earn online ballots all summer long. Participate wherever your summer takes you and increase your chances of winning awesome prizes.

Teen Summer Starter Kit (July 2-31)

Get ready for the best summer ever! Request a Teen Summer Starter Kit filled with summer-y goodies, a Teen Summer Bucket List, and a personalized selection of YA books chosen just for you!

Order your Teen Summer Starter Kit from July 2-31. You'll receive an email when your kit is ready for pickup.

Teen Makerspace Nights: Thursday, July 9-August 13, 5-7 p.m.

Youth ages 12-18 are invited to take over the Makerspace (2nd floor) for an evening of creativity, crafting and hanging out.  Design and create your own projects using Makerspace equipment, or relax and explore a wide variety of art and craft supplies while connecting with other creative youth.

Most materials are provided free of charge, although some specialty supplies may require a small fee.

Taste Test Challenge: Wednesday, August 5, 1:30-3 p.m. (Ages 12-18)

Put your taste buds to the test!  Sample a variety of unique Oreo, Kit Kat, and ramen flavours, compare notes with friends, and rank your favourites.

Snacks may contain common allergens. Please contact Hanna hjordan@orilliapubliclibrary.ca before the program if you have dietary concerns.

This free drop-in program for youth ages 12-18 will be held in the Library Program Rooms. 

Book Bedazzling: Wednesday, August 12 from 1:30-3 p.m. (Ages 12-18)

Add some shine to your shelf!  Bring a favourite book from home or choose from a limited selection and transform it into a one-of-a-kind design using sparkling decorative materials. 

This free drop-in program for youth ages 12-18 will be held in the Library Program Rooms. 

Tie Dye Party: Wednesday, August 19 from 1:30-3 p.m. (Ages 12-18)

Create your own tie-dye masterpiece!  Bring a clean white cotton garment to customize, or use one of ours while supplies last. Wear something you don’t mind getting messy, and be prepared to head outdoors! 

This free drop-in program for youth ages 12-18 will be held in the Library Program Rooms and the Library Courtyard.
