Children and Families

Looking for fun things to do with the kids?  We offer free programs and activities for children of all ages.  All our children and family programs are free unless otherwise specified.

Spring Programs

May Family Art (All Ages)

Drop-in to the Family Dept. for a fun art project that all skill levels will enjoy!  Let your creativity flow with different materials and inspiration each week on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. or Mondays from 4:30-7 p.m.

Tween Time: Perler Bead Party! (Ages 9-12)

Unleash your imagination and create awesome designs using fuse beads!  Join us on Tuesday, May 27th from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Family Program Room to make keychains, wind spinners, photo frames, and more!  This program is guaranteed to fuse hands-on fun with personal innovation!

REGISTER NOW. (An up-to-date library card is required to attend.)

PA Day - Fun on the Farm: Friday, June 6

Funny Farm (All Ages)

  • Come down to the Funny Farm (aka the Family Dept.), between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., for some laugh-out-loud games, silly crafts, and a few educational things too!  We can have fun while learning where our food comes from, how animals live on a farm - and maybe even see which comes first, the chicken or the egg!  No registration required.

Makerspace: Bacteria Buddies (Ages 4+)

  • Drop by the Makerspace anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to discover the important role bacteria play on the farm, and craft your very own friendly bacteria buddy to take home!  No registration required.

Family Movie Matinee: The Secret Life of Pets 2 (All Ages)

  • Continuing the story of Max and his pet friends, join us for a viewing of "The Secret Life of Pets 2", to follow their secret lives after their owners leave them for work or school each day.  Doors open at 2 p.m. in our Library Program Rooms.  No registration is required but space is limited.  (This movie is rated PG).

Homeschool Hangout (School Age)

Attention Homeschoolers!  It's time to connect, learn and explore together!  Each monthly program features a variety of hands-on activities, engaging projects, and play to encourage creativity and curiosity.  Whether you’re new to homeschooling or a seasoned pro, come and discover the joy of learning with friends in this welcoming space.

Upcoming dates are:

  • Human Body Edition Tuesday, June 10 from 1:30-3 p.m. (Drop-in)

Primary Party: Skip Into Summer (Ages 6-8)

Get ready to hop, skip, and jump your way into summer!  Our Skipping Program is designed for primary-aged children to develop coordination, rhythm, and confidence through jump rope games and activities. Whether you're a pro or just starting out, this program offers a playful environment to develop physical and early literacy skills and make new friend!  Join us on Tuesday, June 24th from 6-7 p.m. in the Library Program Rooms.

REGISTER NOW. (An up-to-date library card is required to attend.)
