We are seeking an engaged, community-minded individual to join the Orillia Public Library Board. This is a rewarding opportunity to help guide the library’s strategic direction, governance, and long-term sustainability.
We welcome candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- Board governance and policy development
- Human resources
- Legal or risk management
- Public advocacy, government relations, or community engagement
- Financial oversight, budgeting, or auditing
- Partnerships and stakeholder collaboration
Board members help set the library’s vision, approve policies and budgets, hire and evaluate the Chief Librarian, and serve as ambassadors in the community.
A commitment to public service, collaboration, and equitable access to library services is essential. Previous board experience is an asset, but not required.
