Express Pickup Service will conclude on Monday, January 31st. During Express PIckup Service, patrons can pick up their materials in the lobby of the Library in a safe convenient manner. Access to the Library is limited to the lobby only, and members can continue to place holds online, by calling 705-325-2556 or by emailing us your requests. You will be notified when your items are ready for pickup. There will also be a small selection of popular materials available in the lobby to choose from. For those who are not able to enter the building, please call the Library at 705-325-2556 to make alternate arrangements to pick up materials.
Express Pickup hours of operation are:
Monday to Friday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED

Express Pickup FAQs
Are Library materials safe to borrow? |
As of Friday, June 11, in accordance with government and public health guidelines, we have removed the 24 hour quarantine period for returned library materials. Knowledge about routes of transmission for COVID-19 has evolved greatly over the last year and it is now considered unlikely that the virus will remain active on surfaces in real-world conditions. We ask that you not attempt to sanitize materials yourself as this may cause damage to the item. Please don't borrow library materials if you are feeling unwell or if any member of your household is sick or in isolation. |
How are you keeping staff and members of the public safe? |
Staff will be practicing physical distancing measures and frequent hand washing as well as using personal protective equipment (PPE) when it is appropriate to do so. Shared surfaces will be frequently disinfected. Hand sanitizer will also be available. Staff are trained in and will follow proper health and safety measures while working. Masks are mandatory for staff and visitors. |
What items are available for lending? |
You can request any items from our collections that are available for lending, including: Books in all formats, DVDs, Music CDs, and Books on CD. |
What if I don't know what I want to borrow? |
If you need assistance selecting materials, please call us at 705-325-2556 or email the Information Desk. If you need assistance selecting children and teen materials, please call us at 705-325-2559 or email the Family Department. |
How can I return my Library materials? |
All Library materials can be returned inside the Library during Express Pickup Hours or at our Andrew Street Book Drop. The Book Drop is open 24/7. |
If I have fines on my account can I still borrow items? |
If you are having trouble accessing your online account or you wish to borrow physical library materials on a blocked account, please email us or call 705-325-2338. |
I don't have a Library card. What can I do? |
